The old adage that you get nothing for free is not totally true. Today you can send free fax documents in several different ways, which should make you as the consumer happy. You are able to do something that does not cost you directly.

You do have to have an Internet connection so while the sending of the fax may be free of charge you will still have to pay for the monthly fee of your Internet service provider be that dial up or high speed.

If you take the time to do a keyword search in your favorite search engine on the term send free fax or just free fax, you might be amazed to see the literally 60 million plus hits that you get. Various companies out there have you do different things in order to use this free service. What a basic scenario looks like is going to be something like this.

You log into the web site that says that you can send free fax transmissions from them. They ask you for some personal information like your name, company name and fax number and email.

They also want to know the same information for the recipient. You get to either type in the information that you want to be included or you can attach a file from your PC to be sent as the body text of the fax. The downside of this type of thing is that for one you are allowed to send a total of two faxes for free per day.

For two, they place an ad on the cover page that you send which may or may not be acceptable for your specific situation and three you are only allowed a maximum of three pages per fax. You can indeed use it to send free fax pages there are just those limits.

In the event that you are good with these limitations ad just want to send free fax pages then this may work. Almost all of these companies also allow you to choose the option of upping that from a free fax to a paid one where the ad on the cover letter is removed and the page limit is increased to 15, which will suffice for most people’s needs.

When you go from a send free fax to paying the price is not that terrible if you only use it occasionally and it may even save you money because most of them take PayPal and it seems that $1.99 per fax is about the normal price. If you only occasionally need more than three pages and send only a few faxes and don’t mind an ad on the cover page, the free fax option might fit well into you plans.
